Families can find adventures that fit their needs and schedules in our popular spring and fall Education Programs. Every experience offers guided tours of the Zoo, animal encounters, and themed activities that create an inclusive and educational environment for all families to enjoy. 3 to 8 years
WildLife Heroes Club
Sundays
Dates: Jan. 26, Feb. 2, Feb, 9, Feb. 16, Feb. 23, March 2
Time: 9-10:30 a.m.
Cost: $200 per child / $180 for Dallas Zoo Members
Children (3 to 8 years) and their parents will meet once a week to forge a connection with nature and each other. Zoo habitat observations, close-up animal interactions, hands-on illustrative activities, and conservation-related take-home journals provide opportunities for young children and their adults to build environmental consciousness while collaborating with others who share their interests.

Saturdays
Dates: Jan. 25, Feb. 1, Feb. 8, Feb. 15, Feb. 22, March 1
Time: 9-10:30 a.m.
Cost: $200 per child / $180 for Dallas Zoo Members
Toddlers (10 to 35 months) and their caregivers will love this six-week Education Program designed to strengthen their attachment to one another while taking their first steps to connect and learn about nature.

Friday Safari
Dates: Every Friday, Feb. 14 – May 16 (No class March 14 due to spring break)
Time: 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
Cost: $525 per child / $475 for Dallas Zoo Members
Preschoolers (3 to 5 years) are welcome to this drop-off Education Program. Each Friday for 13 weeks, preschoolers can explore the Zoo with our instructors and learn about the world around them through stories, observations, animal interactions, and play.
5-8 years AND 9-12 years
Thursday Safari
Dates: Every Thursday, Feb. 13 – May 15 (No class March 13 due to spring break)
Time: 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
Cost: 5-8 years | $525 per child / $475 for Dallas Zoo Members
9-12 years | $550 per child / $495 for Dallas Zoo Members
School-aged students are grouped by age in this Thursday drop-off Education Program. The younger class (5-8 years) will explore the Zoo through art, STEM activities, and active games. The older class (9-12 years) will explore wildlife conservation through STEM project-based learning.

Homeschool Day
Homeschool Day at the Dallas Zoo is where learning meets adventures. Homeschoolers and families can discover how to bring a touch of the wild into your homeschool classroom with fun activities and creative projects designed for kids of all ages.

Required
Education program participants in drop-off programs must be completely toilet trained (meaning not wearing pull-ups, able to manage his/her own clothing, and not requiring assistance in the bathroom).
Cancellation & Refund Policy
All education program sales are final. No refunds will be given for cancelled reservations or withdrawals. An education program credit may be issued based on circumstance. Credit will not be issued for cancellations made within 48 hours of start date or for no-shows. All programs will take place rain or shine. The Dallas Zoo reserves the right to cancel or change any program for reasons we deem appropriate. In the event that we cancel your program, a credit will be issued and individuals will be contacted directly.
